Temporary Furnishings

Waiting for your household goods to arrive -- take advantage of these programs to help fill out your home temporarily.

Temporary Furnishings
Have you contacted the Furnishings Management Section (FMS) to see if you are authorized support?

FMS was established to provide government-owned furnishings and appliances to authorized in-coming and out-going personnel. These items will help establish your household in lieu of your household goods being in transit, thus alleviating temporary lodging allowance expenses and helping defray the cost of your move. The number of items you're authorized is based on the number of command-sponsored dependents on your PCS orders and amendments.

FMS provides a loaner kit of basic living, dining and bedroom furniture for up to 90 days pending the arrival/departure of your household goods and also provides a refrigerator, washer, dryer, wardrobes, and transformers (off-base only) that are authorized for your full duration of your tour. To establish an account and request items you will need to have a certified copy of your housing rental agreement for economy rentals or housing assignment for government quarters, PCS orders, family member travel orders and amendments.

FMS has seasonal hours of operation; Peak Season (1 Apr-30 Sep) and Non-Peak Season (1 Oct- 31 Mar). The hours of operation are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday (Peak Season) and 0800-1600 Monday-Thursday and 0800-1430 on Friday (Non-Peak Season), all on a walk-in basis. FMS is located in Bldg. 720 at Einsiedlerhof Air Station.
