Ramstein East Gate closure, construction schedule Published June 23, 2011 By 86th Civil Engineer Squadron RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- The Ramstein East Gate is scheduled to be closed from July 1 at 8 p.m.through July 5 at 4 a.m. The closure will mark the beginning of an ongoing, dynamic construction project on county road L369 scheduled between July 1 and Aug. 14. The project will significantly impact traffic to and from the Ramstein East Gate. Motorists are encouraged to use the Ramstein West Gate throughout the entire construction period. The construction schedule may change due to adverse weather conditions. The timetable can be confusing, so ensure to read carefully and plan your routes accordingly. July 1 to 5: L369 closed to all traffic · The east gate will be fully closed from July 1 at 8 p.m. to July 5 at 4 a.m.. · Base access will only be available through the west gate during this time. · The Large Vehicle Inspection Gate will be open July 2 from 8 a.m. to noon with traffic controlled by a traffic light. The gate will then close until July 5. July 5 to 9: L369 partially open · One-way traffic only from Einsiedlerhof toward the east gate. · Two-way traffic between the east gate and Mackenbach open. · The LVIS Gate open for commercial vehicles only. July 10 to 30: L369 fully open · Two-way traffic between the east gate and Einsiedlerhof open. · Two-way traffic between the east gate and Mackenbach open. · East gate and LVIS Gate operate normally. July 31 to Aug. 7: L369 partially open · Full closure of L369 from the intersection at LVIS Gate to Harmon Gate. · Two-way traffic between the east gate and Mackenbach open. · The LVIS Gate will be open for commercial vehicles only. Aug. 8 to 13: L369 partially open · One-way traffic only from Einsiedlerhof toward the east gate · Two-way traffic between the east gate and Mackenbach will be possible. · The LVIS Gate will be open for commercial vehicles only. Construction of L369 is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 14. This schedule is subject to change.
