• 86 MXS extracts C-130H fuel tank for training

    The 86th Maintenance Squadron removed fuel tanks from each wing of a C-130H Hercules ground trainer aircraft to use for confined space training. The additional hands-on training from the extracted fuel tanks is estimated to save the Air Force up to $700,000.

  • Remembering D-day; 76 years later

    To commemorate the 76th anniversary of D-Day, eight C-130J Super Hercules aircraft from the 37th Airlift Squadron performed low level formations over several different locations in France. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, D-day events were condensed from their normal week-long commemorations.

    In a world currently in the midst of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, preventing the spread of the disease is a top priority. The 86th Aerospace Medicine Squadron’s bioenvironmental engineering flight aids in that process by performing N95 respirator mask fit tests for medical personnel.
