EUCOM to rehearse increased FP condition Published Oct. 15, 2014 By 011014 RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- The U.S. European Command area of responsibility force protection condition will be raised starting the morning of Oct. 16, and will impact all military installations in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. The increased force protection posture will last through the afternoon of Oct.17. This elevated posture is not in response to a specific threat, but is due to force protection concerns throughout the EUCOM area of responsibility. EUCOM took this step based on its firm commitment to make every possible effort to ensure the safety and security of its personnel. Drivers should expect delays entering and exiting KMC military installations, as well as possible traffic pattern changes on the installation, during this time. In addition to this demonstration and validation of force protection measures, it's vital that every member of the KMC remain vigilant and aware, and report suspicious activity to local officials.
