Cleared chaff, a radar countermeasure used by aircraft that consist of aluminum coated fiberglass, sits in bags at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, June 24, 2021. Chaff used by aircraft are filled with aluminum coated glass fibers and must be disposed of separately as required by German law. Airmen from the 86th MUNS have been using a makeshift constructed from a wire hanger and are partnering with the Operational Planning Team and 86th Maintenance Squadron to find a more efficient way to clear chaffs.
