U.S. Air Force pilots assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron call in a Romanian air force IAR-330 Puma helicopter during a Survival, Evasion, Rescue, and Escape scenario in Bolovani, Romania, Aug. 24, 2018. The scenario simulated a downed aircraft, and the pilots had to take specific actions to be rescued. The SERE training was part of Carpathian Summer 2018, a bilateral training exercise designed to enhance interoperability and readiness of forces by conducting combined air operations with the Romanian air force.
