Joan Salter, Holocaust survivor, gave an account of her life as a polish Jew growing up under oppression in Western Europe. The 86th AW Holocaust Remembrance honors all who were persecuted in the Holocaust as well as anyone affected by the tragedy, including rescuers and U.S. soldiers who risked their lives during the liberation.
