1947-era Airman returns to Ramstein after 54 years
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Kenneth Andrews draws a visual aid for several Airmen at Ramstein’s Air Traffic Control tower of how pilots in the 1950s and 1960s would communicate with multiple air traffic control towers to help find their way home if lost, May 24, 2016, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Andrews took advantage of the opportunity to return to Ramstein after he served here 54 years earlier and shared with the traffic controllers on duty some of his experiences during his 30-year Air Force career.
