1947-era Airman returns to Ramstein after 54 years
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Kenneth Andrews looks out the window of Ramstein’s Air Traffic Control tower during a visit, May 24, 2016, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Andrews, along with his grandson, Lt. Col. Michael Andrews, visited to the tower and the Airmen working that day to speak with them about his 30-year AF career as an Air Traffic Controller. Andrews spent three years of his AF career at Ramstein (1959-1962) and was serving on the installation during significant historical points in history like the Cold War and construction of the Berlin Wall.
