1947-era Airman returns to Ramstein after 54 years
Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Kenneth Andrews, his grandson, Lt. Col. Michael Andrews, and his son, Master Sgt. (Retired) Ken Andrews, pose for a photo during the commissioning ceremony of his grandson. Chief Andrews served from 1947-1977 as an Air Traffic Controller and served at Ramstein Air Base from 1959-1962. He recently returned to Europe and took the opportunity to visit his old “office” – Ramstein’s Air Traffic Control tower.
