Ramstein pays tribute to 9/11 victims, first responders
Staff Sgt. Casey Chillemi, 86th Munitions Squadron munitions systems specialist, secures the U.S. flag as it’s lowered during a 9/11 retreat ceremony Sept. 11, 2015, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The ceremony paid tribute to those who lost their lives 14 years ago and is held at the same time of day the attacks took place. Members take time to remember the victims of the attacks as well as the sacrifices made by the first responders, who gave their lives to save individuals trapped in the collapsing World Trade Center towers.
