Pápa, Ramstein join to save lives
An Airman with the 86th Medical Squadron prepares a patient for flight June 8, 2015, Bulgaria. Airmen from Strategic Airlift Capability Heavy Airlift Wing from Pápa Air Base, Hungary and Ramstein Air Base, Germany, joined together to transport patients to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany for additional support while providing in-flight care. This was the first time both bases joined together for a critical care aeromedical transport. The multinational aircrew that comprised the mission and operated the airlift capability are from Pápa AB, Hungary and provide combat and humanitarian airlift and AE support in responding to mission requests throughout different areas of responsibility.
