Children remembered during Kindergraves ceremony
U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Wesley Ricketts, 7th Civil Support Squadron, pays his respects during the Kindergraves memorial service May 16, 2015, in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Children buried here died at birth of shortly after birth from 1952 to 1971; most of the children died of various diseases or due to birth complications. Each spring floral wreaths are placed at the front monument along with a candle lighting ceremony in memory of the children. Also, American flags are placed at each grave marker.
