SACEUR honors 54 years of service

Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and John Mace read a certificate of service during his retirement ceremony Dec. 12, 2014, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Mace retired from the military after 25 years and retired again from civil service after 29 years. Mace was the special operations medical officer for the 86th Medical Group, where he provided comprehensive medical care to the 86th Airlift Wing, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, joint service partners and numerous embassies and consulates throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
