Airmen install emergency aircraft landing system
Staff Sgt. Clayton Backes, 735th Civil Engineer Squadron, tightens a tape connector during an install of an aircraft arresting system on runway 2790 at Ramstein April 8. Sergeant Backes and other CES personnel spent two days installing the aircraft arresting system. The system is designed to safely bring aircraft to a stop in the event of an emergency.
