COLA Dropping
Beginning May 1, service members currently assigned to Ramstein will see a reduction in their monthly paychecks. The Overseas COLA is a supplement designed to equalize purchasing power between members overseas and their Continental United States-based counterparts. COLA rates are being reduced worldwide following a study that identified the purchasing power gap has reduced because the prices of goods and services have increased at a greater rate in the United States than in Germany.
