Ramstein’s Shannon Carter lifts 237.5 kilograms or 523.59 pounds in the third and final round of the squat event Dec. 16 at the gym on Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Lifting more than seven times his actual body weight, Carter kept his title from last year’s garrison tournament as “the strongest man” capturing the Overall Male Lifter title by heaving a total of 670 kg or 1,477.08 lbs.
