Members of the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center coordinate with aircrews, maintenance personnel and aerial porters around the world from the 618th TACC operations floor at Scott Air Foce Base, Ill. The 618th TACC is AMC's Air and Space Operations Center charged with planning, scheduling and directing a fleet of more than 1,300 mobility aircraft in support of combat delivery and strategic airlift, air refueling and aeromedical evacuation operations around the world. AMC's "arm" in Europe is the 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing, headquartered at Ramstein. The wing provides all command and control, en route maintenance support, and air transportation services for theater and strategic air mobility missions in Europe and Southwest Asia.
