B-1 on Ramstein
A B-1 Lancer from the 37th Bomb Squadron, 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. receives fuel and maintenance from members of the 435th Logistics Readiness Squadron on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 7. The B-1 was diverted to Ramstein AB while heading to the Czech Republic for a NATO air show because of inclement weather conditions. The B-1's structure, serpentine intake paths and radar-absorbent material give it a low radar cross section which increases its survivability. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Marc I. Lane)
