Energy Conservation
Behind Tech. Sgt. Sean White's 52 inch television there lives a mass of speaker and power cords. A typical entertainment system consists of a television, Stereo, an AFN receiver and often times a game console. If your household electronics require a transformer unplug the transformer from the wall when not in use. Transformers consume electricity whenever they are plugged in regardless of whether the 120V on the transformer is being used or not. October is energy conservation month which provides us the opportunity to increase awareness of the energy challenges that confront our planet. If we all make an effort to develop our own personal conservation habits, together we can make a difference. (U.S. Air Force photo by: Tech. Sgt. Sean M. White)
