38th Combat Support Wing Inactivation
Col. Jack Briggs, Commander, 38th Combat Support Wing, comments about his time as the commander of such a diverse wing on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 12. The 38th CSW was the most diverse wing in U.S. Air Forces in Europe with units throughout the U.S. European Command at locations in Germany, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Greece. The wing, composed of 3,500 personnel, was created in May of 2004 to support the geographically separated units and was inactivated in September. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Marc I. Lane)
