U.S. Air Force Weapons School Mobility Air Forces Exercise
NEVADA TEST AND TRAINING RANGE -- A C-130 Hercules from Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany flys over the Urban Operations Complex drop zone in the Nevada Test and Training Range during the U.S. Air Force Weapons School Mobility Air Forces Exercise. The aircraft is part of the bi-annual, U.S. Air Force Weapons School MAFEX which provides realistic training for combat Air Force, mobility Air Force, and U.S. Army personnel. Approximately 40 C-17s and C-130s from Air Force bases around the United States flew approximately 400 Soldiers from Fort Bragg, N.C., for airdrops on the NTTR. In addition to providing airdrop training, the exercise also allows Soldiers the opportunity to utilize the range facilities to conduct urban ground operations training.
