Wing receives additional C-130Js, increased capability

Aircraft 8609 taxis out March 2 at Marietta, Ga., with Lt. Gen. Frank Gorenc, 3rd Air Force commander, at the controls. The general accepted the plane from Lockheed Martin and flew it back to Ramstein. The plane is the 11th C-130J to join the 37th Airlift Squadron’s fleet. The new C-130Js provide Ramstein’s 37th Airlift Squadron with more payload capability, greater range, and additional combat airpower for U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command.
