Wing receives additional C-130Js, increased capability
With 3rd Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Frank Gorenc at the controls, aircraft 8609 takes off March 2 from Marietta, Ga., en route to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The general accepted the newest C-130J from Lockheed Martin, the 11th to be assigned to Ramstein’s 37th Airlift Squadron. The new C-130Js provide Ramstein with more payload capability, greater range, and additional combat airpower for U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command. (Photo courtesy Lockheed Martin)
