MASF Training
U.S. Air Force Maj. Sharon Franklin the 86th Medical Group Decease Manager and commander of the Ramstein's Mobile Aeromedical Staging Facility directs her team during set up of their training site, here, Aug. 2-6. Major Franklin and her group of individuals ranging from nurses, medical technicians, communications specialist and medical administrative technicians man Ramstein's MASF, one of only three in the European Command. Each member of the MASF is part of an elite group of volunteers who man the MASF positions on a two-year basis, knowing as combatant commander enablers they are expected to deploy with only 24 hours notice.
