A few good Marines visit the AF DTC
Marines from the 1st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company from Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Deployment Transition Center program facilitators enjoy the sites in the picturesque town of Idar-Oberstein, Germany, April 28, 2011. The outing was part of the DTC program, to reacclimatize these Marines to being in a non-combat zone. Fresh from the Helmand Province in Afghanistan, more than 100 Marines were the first members from another service to go through the Air Force DTC program, which is designed to help returning service members prepare for civilized life after deployments in combat zones.
