If these walls could talk
The walls at the Northside Postal Annex stand empty after more than 10,000 mailboxes were removed and relocated to the old Base Exchange, June 30, 2011. The post office moved its operating location due to safety concerns with the roof of the building. Within 24 hours, post office personnel along with more than 100 volunteers relocated 10,000 mailboxes and 2,000 packages to their new location. The cost for the move, repairs and the move back totals to approximately $4.5 million. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Tech. Sgt. Chenzira Mallory)
