18th AF commander visits Ramstein

Brig. Gen. C.K. Hyde, 86th Airlift Wing commander, briefs Lt. Gen. Mark Ramsay, 18th Air Force commander, in the air traffic control tower on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 6. Ramsay visited Ramstein to tour various 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing units and see firsthand how AMOW Airmen carry out their mission. Hyde, along with Cols. John Shapland, 435th Air Ground Operations Wing commander, and Kip Turain, 521st AMOW commander, briefed Ramsay on their respective wing’s operations and how their wings partner with each other to meet mission requirements.
