F-86 unveiling

Tech. Sgt. Michael Rhodes, 86th Maintenance Squadron fabrication flight sheet metal NCOIC, watches the unveiling of an F-86 Sabre static display July 9, 2013, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Rhodes, along with maintenance and civil engineer Airmen, worked on the two-year project in order to exhibit a part of the 86th Airlift Wing’s history to the entire Kaiserslautern Military Community. The F-86 is an American fighter jet that was assigned to the 86th Fighter-Bomber Wing in 1953. The aircraft was used against Soviet MiG-15s during dogfights in the Korean War.
