RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --
During the first weekend of March, the 2014 U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa martial arts tournament was held at the Ramstein High school and had more than 200 children and teenagers test their might, March 1, 2014, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Participants from all around Europe flock to Ramstein each year to have their martial arts prowess tested. "Events like these aren't about winning and losing," said Jorge Ordonio, 86th Force Support Squadron karate tech training instructor. "It's about installing respect and strengthening moral values, but more importantly building our youth." The 2014 USAFE-AFFRICA martial arts tournament not only promotes good sportsmanship and healthy competition, but a way for children and teenagers to stay active.
