KMC's "Rockin' 4th of July" celebration Published June 25, 2014 RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- The annual Kaiserslautern Military Community Independence Day celebration," Rockin' 4th Freedom Fest" is scheduled for 5-10 p.m., July 3 and 2 p.m. to midnight July 4. The festivities will be held at the Enlisted Club parking lot and will include carnival rides and food July 3. On the Fourth of July, there will be live music, children's activities, carnival rides, food specialties, prizes and a fireworks display at dusk. Parking will be limited. Event participants are encouraged to carpool or ride the event shuttle. There will be a free shuttle service available July 4 to and from the event site. The shuttle will pick up at Armstrong's Club on Vogelweh Air Base starting at 2 p.m. and will run continuously until the event closes. Additional shuttles on Ramstein will stop at the PAX Terminal, Northside Chapel and Hercules Theater. The shuttle is available to all military, dependent and retiree ID cardholders. Visitors will not be allowed on the shuttle and only small strollers will be allowed. For safety reasons, event participants are asked not to bring alcohol, coolers, glass, or pets to the event or onto the shuttles.
