Tis the season to see family and friends, but before traveling to the U.S. for some home cooked meals when leaving them on base, know where to park your vehicles otherwise it may get towed.

Located outside the 721st Aerial Port Squadron at building 3333, short term parking is available at no cost.

Short-term parking is limited to four hours, and a blue parking disc must be displayed on the vehicle's front windshield. The parking disc can be purchased at the Base Exchange or in most German stores for a minimal fee.

Failure to display a parking disc or parking longer than the allotted time will result in a vehicle being ticketed. Any vehicles parked for longer than 24 hours or parked in bus parking will immediately be ticketed and towed.

Long-term parking is also available at no cost when four hours is not long enough. The parking is located in the parking garage on the corner of Fairchild and Lincoln Avenues and is on the fourth floor or higher.

Security Forces regularly patrols the parking garage, and when cars are discovered parked illegally or abandoned they are subject to removal and impound at the owners expense, as well as possible punitive action under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice.

Long-term parking is restricted to the fourth through sixth floors of the parking garage only during winter months due to snow and ice accumulation on the top two uncovered floors.

These are the only locations to leave your vehicle without risking a fine or towing, and are available to all with access to Ramstein Air Base.
