UPDATE: Water main break at Kapaun

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --  As of 5 p.m. today, all repairs are completed on the large water main break that occurred on Dec. 16 near building 2781 on Kapaun.

At this time, bioenvironmental testing of the water for contaminates is not complete and people in the affected area should continue to boil water. The water remains perfectly safe for personal hygiene use (showers, washing dishes, etc.).

Base officials anticipate getting the final water tests tomorrow afternoon, at which time the boil water advisory will be lifted and the water declared safe for consumption.
