Air Force 60th Anniversary Celebration

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --  Come out and celebrate the Air Force's 60th anniversary Aug. 11 from noon to 8 p.m. at Ramstein's Hangar 1, Ramp 2. The event is open to all ID card holders.

For your enjoyment there will be aircraft static displays, history displays, food vendors, performances by USAFE bands, a children's booth, security forces' K-9 agility demonstration, bomb disposal robot demonstration, and medical evacuation exercises. 

Special guests will include Medal of Honor recipient Col. Leo Thorsness, Berlin Airlift Candy Bomber Lt. Col. Gail Halvorsen, and "Drama for the Masses" band. Check out the Aug. 10 edition of the Kaiserslautern American newspaper for a schedule of events, parking information and more details.
