Why did you join the military? I joined for the educational benefits and an opportunity to see the world.

No. 1 goal in the next five years: To get my BS in computer science.

Hobbies: Travel, PC building, mountain biking and fitness. "I am working on learning two languages.

I got started with Icelandic when I was stationed there in 2000 and continued to pursue it after I got married to my wife. I'm studying German because of the location.

I started to study languages primarily because I enjoyed communicating with my friends and family in their native language and it gives me a greater insight to their culture."
