Updated: Ramstein to see limited, closed services during July ORE

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --  During the upcoming exercise, scheduled July 12 through 19, several base organizations and facilities will be closed or operating during different hours.

The following offices will have limited services available during the Phase I and Phase II exercise. Please schedule your appointments and route business accordingly.

- Ramstein Legal Office: Emergency legal assistance only. Call 480-5911 for assistance. Walk-ins will also be seen if emergency assistance is warranted. The Tax Center will still be open, but customers are encouraged to call area to ensure availability.

- Public Affairs photo studio: The photo studio, Building 2410, will have limited services for the duration of the exercise. Call the main Public Affairs office at 480-9196 if you require emergency assistance for an official studio appointment.

- Ramstein Clinic: Delays in service may be experienced.

- Finance: The 86th Comptroller Squadron will be minimally manned.

- Military Personnel Flight: Classifications, awards and decorations and evaluations are closed during Phase I. The ID card section will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. MPF 1st Stop will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Outbound assignments, formal training and promotions will be minimally manned and open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. All offices will be minimally manned but will remain open during Phase II.

- Child Development Center: Customers requiring extended childcare are encouraged to utilize the extended duty care program. For more information, call your local CDC or Family Child Care.

- 86th Communications Squadron: Computer Trouble Tickets -- Kaiserslautern Military Community computer trouble ticket response will be limited to critical/high priority tickets only.

- 86th Communications Squadron: Post Office -- Ramstein Official Mail service will be intermittent and the North Side Post Office Customer Service Window may close temporarily July 17 to 21. The North Side Post Office Finance section will be reduced to one window, increasing customer wait times up to approximately 20 minutes. The Parcel Pick-up window should be unaffected due to volunteers.

- 86th Logistic Readiness Squadron: Outbound Freight -- will only be accepting 999, MICAP, classified and sensitive material for the duration of the exercise. Outbound Freight will not accept any general cargo. Passenger travel office -- will only be ticketing customers for Emergency Leave and short notice TDYs/travel for the duration of the exercise. Individual Equipment Element (IEE) and Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) will only be open for emergency deployers.

- 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron: Vehicle Operations Control Center (VOCC) and Drivers License Testing Office (DLTO)-- Customers requiring transportation related support from these functions should anticipate delays due to higher priority ORE and real-world aircraft generating commitments from July 11 through 19.
