Numerous Ramstein Airmen to be selected for promotion to staff sergeant Published Aug. 13, 2010 By 86th Airlift Wing public affairs RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Several Ramstein senior airmen will be selected for promotion to the rank of staff sergeant Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. The list will be released publicly via the Web on the Air Force Portal and the Air Force Personnel Center's public website. Once released, the selections will remain tentative until data verification is complete, which is no later than 10 days after the release date. The Air Force will select 13,518 of the eligible 28,510 senior airmen for promotion to staff sergeant at a rate of 47.41 percent. The average score for those selected is 282.88 with an average time in grade and time in service of 1.97 and 4.55 years respectively. The average score is based on the following point averages: 131.31 for enlisted performance reports, 71.18 for the promotion fitness exam, 59.08 for the specialty knowledge test and 0.94 for decorations. Those selected will be promoted beginning in September 2010, according to their promotion sequence number.
