Katzweiler holds Adventure Day

The Katzweiler Tourism Association will hold an adventure day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 15. For the third time shops, stores, associations and church communities will offer a diversified program.

The family event will feature sports demonstrations, a farmers and artists market, wagon rides, a children's program, live music and guided tours.

Children can ride ponies at Bonanza-Ranch, where the wagon rides and a riding tournament will be held from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

At the trout pond, children can test their fishing skills from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and watch a balloon show from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A magic show will be presented from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at Bonanza Ranch, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Protestant church, and from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the local butcher's.

Shopping in local stores will be offered from 1 to 6 p.m. Shop owners will present special offers including free massages, the possibility to taste wine, champagne and tea, a painting display and the exchange of recipes for marmalades.

The tourist office will provide information at their stand next to the mill. Free guided tours will be offered in the mill.

The bands Abby-Moe and 4our-bc will entertain the audience all day long. The Action Fraction Square Dance Group will perform at 3 and 5 p.m. at the village square.
