The 86th Civil Engineer Group supports worldwide contingency operations with highly trained, fully equipped civil engineer Airmen. These Airmen provide, operate, maintain, protect and divest infrastructure to perform Air Force missions within the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

The 86th CEG provides and maintains uninterrupted services to 21.3 million square feet of property, 1,766 facilities and over 5,000 housing units on 5,144 acres on Ramstein, Sembach, Einsiedlerhof, Kapaun, Landstuhl, Vogelweh and 20 geographically separated units. Readiness, EOD and firefighters, assigned to seven fire stations, are ready at a moments notice to handle any emergency.
