U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Yosdue Valez-Perez, 10th Expeditionary Airborne Command and Control Squadron crew chief, marshals a Northrop Grumman E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, June 26, 2023. The JSTARS aircraft is being divested and replaced by a more advanced non-aircraft platform intended to keep Airmen safer. The divestment is a result of an ongoing effort to modernize the Air Force’s command and control capabilities.
