86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron makes history

Brendon Bowman, 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flight examiner and emergency medical paramedic, completes medical documents while transferring a patient from Vilnius International Airport, Lithuania, to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, April 6, 2023. Since the 1970s, Aeromedical Evacuation flight crews have consisted of at least one nurse and medical technician, and this mission set the stage to allow an all-enlisted medical crew to provide medical transportation.
