Silver Flag builds runways, multi-capable Airmen

A U.S. Air Force Airman with the 435th Construction and Training Squadron clears debris during rapid airfield damage recovery training at Ramstein Air Base, Germany during a Silver Flag training course, Nov. 18, 2021. Silver Flag teaches members from civil engineer, force support and vehicle maintenance career fields to learn skills necessary to complete large-scale base recovery and RADR operations, which may be outside their primary duties. RADR is critical to restoring airfields to normal operations after an attack has occurred.
