Life-saving skills: 86 MDG offers CPR, AED certs

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Bethany Sonnick, left, 86th Medical Group education and training program coordinator, instructs Airman 1st Class Brittany Wey, 21st Operational Weather Squadron forecaster, apply automated external defibrillator pads during an adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED class at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Feb. 4, 2020. Sonnick demonstrated techniques to the class and required each student to demonstrate the techniques on mannequins. To pass the class, each student had to respond to a mock scenario and demonstrate understanding of life-saving techniques. Personnel who learn to operate an AED and perform CPR can provide a safer work environment to support Ramstein’s airlift mission. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Elizabeth Baker)
