Wounded warriors revisit Ramstein, LRMC
Retired U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Matt Bradford, middle, a wounded warrior, meets U.S. Air Force Capt. Joanna Guhl, 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flight nurse, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Jan. 13, 2020. The OPE mission provides combat-wounded warriors the opportunity to gain closure as part of their recovery, while providing service members the opportunity to meet and learn from the veterans. Members of the 86th AES and 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron gave the wounded warriors a guided tour of a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, like the ones used to medically evacuate the veterans years ago.
