USO Spring Visit
Makua Rothman (left) and Shane Victorino smile as a member in the audience correctly answered Rothman’s trivia question on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 30, 2019. Rothman had asked in what year had he broke the record for surfing the highest wave; the audience member correctly guessed 2002,when at 18 years old, Rothman rode a 66-foot wave. By answering correctly the audience member received the pictured surfboard signed by Rothman after the show. The appearance of Rothman and Victorino on Ramstein AB was part of a USO Spring Visit to celebrate and show appreciation to service members and their families.
