Seven CRW Airmen receive Bronze Star
Lt. Col. Robert Rayner received the Bronze Star Medal Nov. 21, 2017 during a ceremony at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Rayner served as the senior airfield authority in Northern Syria in support of Operation Inherent Resolve November 2016 to February 2017. Rayner commanded 213 personnel at United States Central Command’s most frontline airfield and served as the forward operating base’s senior leader and envoy, regularly operating outside the wire while engaging with local government leaders, forging strong relationships, and safeguarding continuous department of defense operations.
