3 wings race for POW/MIA memorial
U.S. Air Force Ret. Col. Kenneth Cordier, former Vietnam prisoner of war, speaks to a formation of Airmen before the Tri-Wing POW/MIA Memorial Run on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 13, 2017. In June of 1966, Cordier flew his 176th mission over North Vietnam and was forced to eject when his F-4 Phantom II took a direct hit from a surface-to-air missile. After spending 2,284 days in captivity, he was released during Operation Homecoming on March 4, 1973. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Tryphena Mayhugh)
