Two portraits of fallen Air Force Office of Special Investigations Airmen lay on the floor during the 25th Expeditionary Field Investigation Squadron’s fallen heroes dedication ceremony at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Nov. 10, 2016. The 25th EFIS held the ceremony to commemorate AFOSI agents who lost their lives in the line of duty. Veteran’s Day is a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice, even if it means their lives. According to a recent Congressional Research Service report, more than 6,500 U.S. service members have lost their lives in post-9/11 conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
