691st COS defends new domain
General John E. Hyten, Air Force Space Command commander, recalls his memories of the rescue mission of the Afghan Eight to Airmen assigned to the 691st Cyberspace Operations Squadron and 460th Space Communications Squadron Detachment 1 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Oct. 4, 2016. Hyten believes that cyberspace Airmen that collected and disrupted adversary intelligence played a big part in the rescue mission, as many people thought they wouldn’t be able to move without jeopardizing the lives of the captives, which included two American women.
