Mr. Reinhard Strate, Strate Wasserhochdrucktechnick e.K. general manager, reviews the results of a friction test with U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Stephanie Heck, Airfield Management Operations NCOIC, prior to cleaning the runway, July 19, 2011, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Contractors from Strate removed excess rubber from various parts of the runways to prevent aircraft from sliding when they land. The weeklong project cost $91K. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Tech. Sgt.
